Several basic types of PTFE materials are produced by Chicago Gasket Company. Each has special characteristics that make it particularly well suited to certain applications. The three major categories are:
    VIRGIN PTFE - A high density, unfilled pure PTFE fluoropolymer for critical electrical, chemical and mechanical applications. 100% pure virgin grade.

    EBOLON - Composites or compounds of PTFE and other ingredients such as carbon, glass or bronze for those applications requiring even higher mechanical strengths and resistance to wear than is available in pure PTFE. Specific composites are designed to meet your special applications.

    MODIFIED PTFE (Virgin or Filled) - These grades of PTFE are used when special needs exist, such as increased resistance to creep under load.

Chicago Gasket Company is online with an integrated computer system and has a full engineering department utilizing CAD/CAM for custom and standard PTFE products.
